HERE'S HOW WE CAN HELP
-
We can prepare your tax returns for current and prior years, even if your records are lost. Remember, you must be in compliance before payment issues can be resolved.
-
Assessments of tax by IRS are made based on income information only. We will guide you on information you have or can gather that may reduce the taxable income calculated by the IRS and thus, reduce the tax owing.
-
Levies, Liens, and Garnishments are collection devices used by Internal Revenue Service and all have devastating and immediate impact on clients’ financial situation. Contacting us promptly upon receipt of IRS' Notification of Intent can stop the process. If already filed, we are experienced in release negotiations.
-
We will evaluate your case to determine which method of delinquent tax resolution is most beneficial.
· Installment agreements: In cases where the total tax debt cannot be paid in full immediately, but the client has the financial ability to meet the obligation in full or in part over an extended time, we can negotiate an installment agreement. Care must be taken that the amount of the monthly payment is reasonable and affordable for the client and still acceptable to IRS or the state tax authorities. Certain conditions must be met and kept for the agreement to be established and maintained.
· Offers In Compromise: For those who cannot pay the full amount of the delinquent tax debt, we can negotiate an Offer in Compromise. Offers in Compromise provide a means to settle the debt for less than the amount owed. The process is lengthy, has many procedural requirements, and is subject to many conditions. However, for those who qualify, Offers in Compromise give clients the opportunity to resolve significant debt and start over with a clean slate.
· Currently Not Collectible: For clients who cannot pay in full and cannot liquidate assets, Currently Not Collectible (CNC) may be an alternative. Based on hardships and the inability to make payment through an installment agreement or Offer in Compromise, we may be able to negotiate this status. CNC status stops collection activity, and allows the client time to recover while the statute of limitations continues to run. Upon expiration of the statute, the liability also expires. Should the client’s financial position improve, however, the account will be removed from CNC status. At that point full payment or an installment agreement will be required.
End the stress, anxiety, and devastating impact these problems can have on your family and finances. Time is of the essence. Contact us today.
